The Muppets Take Sad Revolutionary France :: Beday 49

You know those times when you’re so tired that things are just automatically funny? Right now is one of those times.

My brother and I were watching Les Miserables, and noticed the fact that Marius kind of sounds like Kermit the Frog. This is funny enough on its own, when you imagine all of Marius’ parts sung by Kermit. But then we came up with the idea that Animal would make a good Enjolras. Picture Red and Black with Animal just running across the screen going “Reeeeedd” and Kermit finishing the line, and then Animal running back across going “Blaaaaaaack” and Kermit finishes. This concept is hilarious to us right now.

So of course we had to cast the rest of Les Mis in Muppets. This is what we came up with.

Kermit as Marius and Kermit as Young Cosette and Kermit as Fantine and Kermit as Jean Valjean

Miss Piggy as Grown Cosette and Miss Piggy as Madame Thernardier

The Swedish Chef as Eponine

Animal as Enjolras

Fozzy Bear as Thernardier

Robin as Gavroche

and Russell Crowe as Javert

Animenjolras

About Lananification

I'm a twenty-something Canadian trying to figure out what it means to be an "adult". I've recently moved to England to try to be an adult in a different country. It is just as hard. My Wanderings are travel blogs; sometimes I travel, and lots of times I write about it. My Meanderings are thoughts from this crazy, random head of mine. Songs and Reasons Why happens when I pick a song that means a lot to me, and tell you why, and then let you listen to it. In 2013 I wrote a blog every day for the whole year, minus a couple. Check those out in the BEDAY tag if you want.

  1. Joel says:

This might be Terry Fators’ new project

  2. Sal says:

I think Fozzie should be Enjolras, but Animal can still do the “red/black” part all on his own.
