Overdone Weather Metaphor :: Beday 122

I pleaded for summer yesterday and so today I got a sunburn. Serves me right I guess. I have been enjoying this nice weather so much that I know I am going to be upset when it inevitably abandons us. It is only May after all. I love Ontario summers so much that it often makes me forget how much I hate Ontario winters. That is the thing about Canada. It lulls you into a false sense of summer-security and then BAM it hits you in the face with a snowstorm.

Sometimes life is like that. you are skipping along enjoying the cloudless sky and then all of a sudden something happens that changes that. It’s not too bad though. Somehow we always end up skipping in the sunshine again, no matter how long winter lasts.

About Lananification

I'm a twenty-something Canadian trying to figure out what it means to be an "adult". I've recently moved to England to try to be an adult in a different country. It is just as hard. My Wanderings are travel blogs; sometimes I travel, and lots of times I write about it. My Meanderings are thoughts from this crazy, random head of mine. Songs and Reasons Why happens when I pick a song that means a lot to me, and tell you why, and then let you listen to it. In 2013 I wrote a blog every day for the whole year, minus a couple. Check those out in the BEDAY tag if you want.
